Here’s a little ray of sunshine for some of you in these challenging times.
We’ve decided to offer a new dining option called Buck’s To Go.
Starting this week, the restaurant’s executive chef, Phil LeBreton, will be preparing some of his favorite dishes for takeout Thursday through Sunday. Curbside pick-up hours will be from 4 PM to 7 PM.
Phil’s menu can be found under the Buck's To Go tab.
Buck’s To Go orders need to be placed the day before by calling 326-8688.
Payment will be made over the phone at that time, either by using a credit card or charging the order to your Buck's Harbor Market house account.
Just so you know, we’re still making delicious hand-crafted pizzas for takeout five nights a week. And our selection of prepared foods for sale in the market is as extensive--and tasty--as ever.

Fourteen years ago, I became the proud owner of the Buck’s Harbor Market, and since then my goal has been to ensure that it continues to be a special resource for the community. Now, with our nation, including Maine, facing a public health crisis of unpredictable dimensions, I’d like to share with you what we’re doing to help keep our customers and staff safe from Covid-19. I’d also like to tell you about some new initiatives we’re taking to meet the needs of the community during these challenging times.
Here’s what we’re doing to help keep our customers and staff safe:
We’re sanitizing all high-touch surfaces in the market, kitchen and restrooms multiple times each day. Areas targeted for special attention include counters, tabletops, door handles, faucets, coffee dispensers, soup ladles, phones, cash register and credit card reader.
Employees are required to frequently--and thoroughly--wash their hands during the work day.
Should any of our staff become sick or believe they might be experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus (fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue), we expect them to stay home. However, they shouldn’t have to pay a financial price for doing the right thing, so we’ll be giving them up to two weeks of paid sick leave.
A large bottle of hand sanitizer has been placed at the check-out counter, and wipes are available in the café.
Here’s what we’re doing to help make your life a little easier:
The market now offers a larger selection of prepared foods for you to take home and enjoy. Whether its soups and chowders, meatloaf, chili, pasta, salads, sandwiches or baked goods, we’ve got the makings of a tasty stay-at-home meal. And don’t forget we offer made-to-order pizzas five nights a week.
We’re making every effort to keep our shelves stocked with the staples you depend on. But because panic hoarding has come to Maine, we won’t always be able to keep up with demand. And we may need to limit quantities for certain goods.
They’ll be no price-gouging at the market. We’re all in this together, and we’d never take advantage of our customers.
If you’re anxious about spending time in public spaces, including our store, we’re now offering a “curbside” pick-up option. Orders placed ahead of time will be delivered directly to your car.
Finally, we’re hoping to launch a free home-delivery service for at-risk members of our community who’ve chosen to self-quarantine for the duration of the crisis. We’ll be working with the town office to help find the volunteers needed to make this project happen.

We know, it's been a while since BHM sold pizza! But, we are offering a new pizza menu of made from scratch pies. Nothing frozen here!
We are making pizza Wednesday thru Saturday from 4-7:00 PM and Sunday from 1-7:00 PM.
